So season two started last year, then I went on holiday and only got my computer back some weeks after returning and have been waiting for a Monday to get back into the swing of things. I managed to miss a few and didn’t want to switch up the schedule.

If you’re not familiar with the formula by now have a look at episode one as a yardstick.

Ok into the episode we go:

20: The Temper Trap – Leaving the Heartbreak Hotel

19: Two Door Cinema Club – Next Year

The Temper Trap and Two Door Cinema Club have to be my two favourite Indie bands so yay

18: The Temper Trap – I’m Gonna Wait

17: The Temper Trap – Rabbit Hole

Looks like the beginnings of a Temper Trap spree, though two in a row does not a spree make…

16: The Temper Trap – Never Again

Ok three is almost definitely the beginnings of a spree.

Anyway that’s all for this week, stay tuned for episode three.

I like making these posts, I can’t speak for you though. I don’t know when exactly I should start a new “season” maybe every three months though every four months might be better. Oh well let’s kick off Season 2. If you’ve been following you’ll know the deal, if you haven’t I’m sure you’ll understand. Maybe, oh well.

25:The Tenper Trap – Want

24:Ellie Goulding – Explosions

23:The Temper Trap – Leaving the Heartbreak Hotel

22:Ellie Goulding – Hanging On

21: Ellie Goulding – Joy

Well it looks like Ellie Goulding was the artis du jour of this episode. Just so you know I don’t take my data from today’s list for the upcoming episodes. Rather I let the list evolve and change as it does.

Well here we are again one week later. If you’ve been following this series of posts by now should have seen Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4. If you haven’t seen them all I have linked to them, feel free to have a look or just jump straight into this part.

Prepare yourself for something that won’t be very exciting and only vaguely interesting.

5: Amanda Palmer – Leeds United (feat. the Born Again Horny Men of Edinburgh)

Prepare yourself for an Amanda Palmer spree.

4: Amanda Palmer – Strength Through Music (feat. Strindberg and Ben Folds)

Okay two songs is not quite a spree.

3: Amanda Palmer – Blake Says (feat. Zoë Keating and Ben Folds)

Three is heading into spree territory isn’t it?

2: Amanda Palmer – Runs in the Family (feat. Ben Folds)

Okay four is definitely spree territory.

1: M.I.A. – Bad Girls

I’ve been listening to this song so many times because I love it and it’s the only song I have from unusually long upcoming fourth album Matangi. Which is her name again, kinda.

See I did not lie about making a part 2. Since this has gone further than the original attempt I feel no need to include “Redux” in the title anymore which is reassuring. I will keep the format from the previous post and will be doing the next five in the list which may or may not have changed since I did Part 1.

So here goes:

20: Amanda Palmer – Another Year

Well this was unexpected. Didn’t know that this would shift up.

19: Air – Dark Messages

18: Air – Bathroom Girl

Looks like a bit of an Air fest is starting

17: Air – Alone in Kyoto

Yep definitely an Air spree.

16: Air – Surfing on a Rocket

The Air songs continue.

Well that was Part 2. I guess I’ll be doing Part 3 next Monday. Stay tuned for a further chance to judge me.

So I did one of these way back in 2011. This lonely Part 1 never had a Part 2 so I thought I would start afresh. This time instead of squeezing 12 songs into a single post I will draw it out and do 5 in a post. As with last I will try and find music videos as companions to the song titles. This time I better do more than one post. There is a chance that my top 25 might change before the next post. It will be interesting to see what changes may take place in the undefined period between this and the next post. Looking back I see that I started at No. 1 which makes absolutely no sense so I will start from 25 this time.

Anyway enough preamble and prepare to judge me.

25: Nicki Minaj – Beautiful Sinner

24: Nicki Minaj – Automatic

23: Nicki Minaj – Whip It

Um yeah yet another Nicki Minaj. Well I did invite you to judge me.

22: Nicki Minaj – Pound the Alarm

Ok I swear this is the last Nicki Minaj song in my top 25, I hope.

21: Amanda Palmer – Another Year

Yes finally some change.

That ends Part 1, stay tuned for Part 2. We swears on the Precious that we will do it.

So it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, pretty much a whole month has gone by without a post from me. I saw an idea that I liked on someone’s blog recently so I thought I would give it a try.

The basic premise is to look at the top 25 songs in iTunes and dedicate a blogpost to them, so here goes. Since 25 songs is a lot this will be in two parts.

  1. David Guetta – Turn Me On (feat. Nicki Minaj)
  2. Kelly Rowland – Lay It On Me (feat. Big Sean)
  3. Florence and the Machine – Spectrum
  4. Jessie J – Do It Like A Dude
  5. M.I.A. – XXXO
  6. Rihanna – We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris)
  7. David Guetta – Night Of Your Life (feat. Jennifer Hudson)
  8. David Guetta – Titanium (feat. Sia)
  9. Deadmau5 – Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff (feat. Rob Swire)
  10. Florence and the Machine – No Light, No Light
  11. Jessie J – Rainbow
  12. LMFAO – Champagne Showers (feat. Natalia Kills)
  13. M.I.A. – Born Free

Well that is part 1. Stay tuned for part 2 where you will have another chance to judge me on my music taste.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are officially my favourite artistes. They have justly climbed to the top of my Lastfm charts and with devotion will remain there until the Dusk of Time and beyond. My new life goal is to see them perform live. These few words cannot begin to describe my obsession with them, their videos are beautiful, their songs divine and their lyrics more lyriquotable than any other artist that I favour.

P.S. Lyriquotable: (adjective) able to be lyriquoted. see “Lyriquoting”

Lyriquoting: (verb) the act of quoting the lyrics of one’s favourite artists.
